Our Bonnyville branch location opened in 2006 and is operated by PRIMCO Commercial Corp. Meet the small team who helps bring our safety programs to the oil, gas and construction industries located in the Bonnyville and Cold Lake region.
Tim is the Business Manager heading branch operations and community engagement.
Tim joined ASTEC in 2006. He is also our Senior Industrial Safety Instructor with responsibility for the Corporate Safety Program, holding a designation as an ACSA Auditor and is an Evaluator/Auditor for Energy Safety Canada training programs. You will often see Tim active in the community, developing client business relationships for ASTEC in the Bonnyville region. Tim is a firefighter with the Bonnyville Fire Department, and has been a member of the Bonnyville Oilmen’s Society since 2008, not to mention his active role with the Bonnyville Pontiacs Junior A Hockey Club organizing game day activities. He has experience in drilling rigs and in the safety supervisory/advisor role with high angle and confined space entry. He is highly qualified in a vast number of safety courses, bringing valuable knowledge to the classroom. With his busy career, he always makes time for his three very active boys!
Cindy has been with us since 2014. Before joining our team, Cindy spent 35 years in the healthcare industry.
Within those 35 years, Cindy spent 21 of those as a dietary supervisor/kitchen manager. Cindy brings with her a certificate in Business Education from the Alberta Vocational College out of Edmonton Alberta. She now works at ASTEC as the Branch Administrator at our Bonnyville training & service centre.
Mike has had many responsibilities at Astec Safety’s Bonnyville location since 2011.
Mike has been in charge of overseeing the shop, repair and service of all fire extinguishers, SCBA and gas monitors . Before joining Astec, Mike had 17 years of experience working in the oil industry, servicing fire extinguishers, SCBAs, installing and inspecting kitchen suppression systems, as well as gas monitors. He was a plant operator for 5 years in the Lakeland area, and had the opportunity to manage and train new hires and summer students in the oil plants.
Paulette is one of ASTEC’s contract instructors for First Aid, as well as defensive driving for three years now.
Before joining ASTEC, she worked at the Bonnyville Health Center for 22 years. There, she experienced working as an LPN on all units and in the CSR department doing sterilization for the OR and the rest of the hospital. Paulette has a diploma in Nursing from the Red Deer Community College, and has furthered her training with ASTEC. On her down time, Paulette is proud to have a small family farm that keeps her busy when she is not instructing.
