Administrator – Safety Services

You will be the first contact for our industrial safety customers as they seek just the right services for their corporate and individual safety needs. You will work closely with our customers, under the direction of the Team Lead, Shop Services, Rentals & Sales, to care for the foundation upon which the team achieves success. Often multi-tasking, you will have a proven ability to shift gears as priorities are re-defined. Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate incoming queries for safety services, rental equipment, and retail product sales, both via telephone and email.
  • Become well-versed in internal processes, customer data entry and safety records, supporting the Shop Technicians and Specialists to deliver unmatched service excellence.
  • Liaise with equipment manufacturers and service partners to deliver safety services to firstly, our direct customers, and secondly to provide support to our growing branch network.
  • Provide on-going support for daily accounting functions to enable orderly business interaction with our customers doing business with the Safety Services Department.
  • With training provided by ASTEC SAFETY, participate on the team that delivers Wellness Services, that include; Respiratory Mask Fit Testing, Hearing Testing, and Hearing Protection Fit Testing services.
  • Administer internal compliance with COR safety program, as it relates to the Safety Services area and activities, as assigned.
  • Co-ordinate on-going business communication with customers to facilitate scheduled service, follow-up during and after work is completed that exceeds their expectations.
  • Work on special project teams to deliver new functionality, service options and processes to better achieve business goals.
  • Regularly contribute content for our social media activities on Facebook, Twitter, corporate website, and in-branch customer information display units.


Skills or Expertise Required:

  • Knowledge of safety services, fire extinguishers, fall protection, PPE, gas monitors, would be beneficial.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office or Office 365.
  • Experience with Sage Simply Accounting would be a definite asset.
  • Experience in Shipping, Receiving and/or Procurement/Purchasing would be advantageous.
  • 2-3 years referenceable experience in a sales, service, rentals, or office environment in an administrative capacity, and/or as an industrial safety professional.
  • Work requires periodic physical demands that include lifting (50 lbs) and standing to complete service duties in an industrial shop environment.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with a referenceable track record of success in a team-based environment.


Job Type:                 Full-time (40 hours/week)

Compensation:       $44,000.00-$49,000.00 per year
